Valencia From TikTok: Tapas Bars, Oysters and a Rooftop
Valencia's creators come for food and stay for a drink. Two old tapas bars lead the list: La Pilareta, where the clóchinas shells go straight into a bucket on the floor, and Casa Montaña, an 1836 bodega with 600 wines and salt-cod croquettes. Add oysters at Ostra Pedrín, paella at Los Gómez and the Mercat Central for shopping.

Casa Montaña, expensive and worth booking, serves salt-cod croquettes with pine nuts, clóchinas and titaina rolls under giant barrels; the creator says you will want to come back. Ostra Pedrín on Carrer de Bonaire is a small upscale seafood bar, and the tip is simply fresh oysters. Los Gómez on Carrer de Correus does Valencian rice dishes on a terrace; the creator found it a bit corporate but the paella still good.
Market and rooftop
The Mercat Central, in an Art Nouveau building on Carrer de Palafox next to the Llotja de la Seda, is the cheap entry on the list, a working market full of Mediterranean produce. Atenea Sky is at the other end of the price scale, with Valencian food, signature cocktails and a 360-degree view over the old town.
