Worth it?
An approachable hike for most fit walkers, rated easy to moderate at 8 km return by one creator, who calls it Madeira's famous dragon tail hike. The landscape is bare volcanic rock and basalt cliffs, very different from the island's green interior, so sun is the real challenge: there is no shade. Booking and an entry fee through SIMplifica are mandatory.
