Hiking the Kaisertal From Ebbs: Huts, Chapel and Summits
Everything creators save in Ebbs belongs to one valley: the car-free Kaisertal. The posts read like a route. Leave the car at Parkplatz Kaisertal for 6 euros a day, walk about 30 minutes to the chapel of Saint Anthony, keep going to the Berghof for kaiserschmarrn, and push on to Ritzau-Alm if you still have legs.
For stronger hikers, the valley also leads up to two summits. The Naunspitze at 1,633 meters is a two-hour hike with grade I to II climbing sections, and the Pyramidenspitze at 1,997 meters is what one creator calls the pro route, about three hours. Seasons matter here: the creators give May to November for the first and June to October for the second.

The valley walk: chapel, Berghof and Ritzau-Alm
The Kaiseraufstieg trail starts at the paid car park, the only way into the valley by car. The Kapelle zum Heiligen Antonius, a favorite photo subject, is the first goal, and the walk is fine all year. The Berghof, the oldest inn in the Kaisertal, is about 40 minutes on foot with three sunny terraces, a pinewood sauna and weekly yoga; the creator says the kaiserschmarrn is worth the hike and to try the homemade lemonade. Ritzau-Alm, at 1,161 meters, is about 50 minutes further and serves dependable alpine food, also year-round.
Two summits above the Kaisertal
The Naunspitze looks over the Inn Valley and is reached via the Vorderkaiserfeldenhütte, with grade I to II scrambling, so you need to be comfortable with heights. The Pyramidenspitze, second highest in the Zahmer Kaiser, needs sure feet and a head for heights, with via ferrata sections; many people start from Aschinger Alm, and the Vorderkaiserfelden hut offers beds for an overnight. Both summits are free.
