Riga From TikTok: Old Town Sights, Cafés and Markets
Most of what creators save in Riga fits inside the Old Town, close together. There are the two big landmarks, the House of the Blackheads on Rātslaukums and Rīgas Doms, the largest medieval church in the Baltic states, and then a short list of things to eat between them: hot chocolate, honey cake and a rooftop food hall.

Old Town landmarks
Rīgas Doms was founded in 1211 and mixes Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque architecture; entry is listed as free. The House of the Blackheads stands at Rātslaukums 7 and is a moderately priced visit. Both sit inside the UNESCO-listed historic center that the city entry describes, founded in 1201 at the mouth of the Daugava.
Sweet stops and a food hall
AJ Chocolate House on Vaļņu iela makes filled chocolates, gelato and hot chocolate in dark, milk or white, and the creator's whole tip is to order the hot chocolate. Parunāsim, on Mazā Pils iela, is a two-floor café with vintage decor, jazz and homemade honey cake. For a proper meal, Burzma on the fourth floor of Galerija Centrs has ten restaurants and a bar, from Mexican to Georgian, with views over the Old Town rooftops. Try the khachapuri.
Across the river: Āgenskalna tirgus
The market hall in the Āgenskalns district sells local produce and artisanal food in a historic building and runs regular gastro tours and events. It is the one place on the list away from the Old Town, and the entry to pick if you want to see what Riga buys and eats day to day.
