Khanittha im Werksviertel cooks Thai street food with hand-rolled spring rolls and no pre-made products. 89Anju near the center specializes in Korean fried chicken and takes cards only. Local flavor shows up in twists: Bavarian Deli Company near the Hofbräuhaus fills a sandwich with Bavarian birria, roast pork and sauerkraut and tops potato dumpling fries with truffle. Coffee, bread and ice cream

Several cafés and bakeries share the 80469 postcode in Isarvorstadt. LAP Coffee on Klenzestraße is a cheap, minimalist coffee bar; one creator rated it 7 out of 10 and recommends the matcha with oat flat white. amulet on Fraunhoferstraße is dog-friendly with outdoor seating, and Boulangerie Dompierre on Reichenbachstraße bakes baguettes and croissants with a terrace over Knödelplatz. Further north, Biobäckerei Wagner in Schwabing bakes organic sourdough in stone ovens. For dessert, Ballabeni Icecream on Theresienstraße rotates more than 50 flavors a day and is known for long queues.

Beyond the table

The non-food places are few but specific. BMW Welt, next to the Olympic Park, is a free showroom for BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce models in a glass and steel building. Botanischer Garten München-Nymphenburg has tropical and alpine greenhouses, with last entry at 4 PM. At ASTOR Film Lounge im ARRI, seats are red velvet recliners and staff bring pretzels with Obazda to your seat; one post puts adult tickets at around 15 euros with a welcome drink included.
